SpotSkout ("we," "us," or "our") is an Atlanta-focused summer camp directory. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
What we collect
From parents
SpotSkout does not require you to create an account. When you browse or search camp listings, we do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information.
If you choose to complete the Parent Preference Survey, we collect the information you voluntarily submit — which may include your email address, your child's age and interests, and your neighborhood or zip code. You may also opt in to our newsletter when submitting the survey; this is optional and separate from the survey itself.
From camp operators
If you submit a claim or intake form to list your camp on SpotSkout, we collect the contact and camp information you provide, including your name, email address, camp name, and session details.
Automatically collected information
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use SpotSkout. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, general location (city or region), browser type, and device type. This data is aggregated and used to improve the site. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
We do not use advertising tracking pixels, retargeting tools, or behavioral advertising on this site.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the SpotSkout directory
- Respond to operator inquiries and listing submissions
- Send newsletters to parents who have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Understand which neighborhoods and camp types parents are searching for, in aggregate
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
We use trusted third-party services to store form submissions, send email, and host this website. Each operates under its own privacy practices.
Your choices
You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. To request deletion of information you submitted through a form, contact us at hello@spotskout.com.
Children's privacy
SpotSkout is a directory for parents to research camps on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under the age of 13.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
